Last day of work

Juni 16, hari terakhir gua kerja di UPS. Udah 10 bulan gua kerja disono. Hari pertama gua 15 agustus. Gua seneng juga sih berhenti soalnya jujur aja gua uda mulai eneq ama time study (gua pake bahasa indo soalnya takut ada yg liat blog ini and ngerasa tersinggung ato apa, walaupun gua ga bakal tulis yg macem2 sih) hehe... Awal2nya sih fun ya time study tapi lama2, bosen banget soalnya monoton tapi untung supirnya beda2 sih. Hari terakhir gua kerja, gua datengnya jam 130 soalnya coworkers gua mo ajak gua minum2 jam 430 yaudah gua pikir gua dateng kerja siangan aja soalnya gua cuman ada 1 study buat reconcile. Trus bos gua telp gitu pas gua masi di ruma, nanyain gua kemana, koq ga dateng2 haha... bos gua lucu bgt, orgnya gampang stress, tapi dia baek banget sih. Trus sekitar jam 4-an, semua org IE pada ngumpul gitu di depan kantor, soalnya IE manager suruh semua org ngumpul... eh tau2nya mrk mo say farewell gitu ke gua, gua ampe kaget... soalnya gua cuman intern gitu lho... gua feel special sih... trus ie manager bilang gua udah done 68 studies. Nah, bos gua tuh sebelonnya tanya gua pernah done request studies ga, gua bilang gua pernah 1 di canyon park. Ternyata pas dia tanya itu, dia lagi itungin gua dah lakuin brp studies haha... kocak...

So yeah 68 studies di south seattle, everett, tukwila, canyon park, spokane (south, north, valley) and arlington. I've met hundreds of drivers. Sedih juga sih, orang2nya baek banget, cuman culture of the company nya aja yg gua kurang sreg. Gua dah belajar banyak banget sih terutama pas christmas season. Kelemahan gua kan public speaking and pas peak, kita disuruh train new helpers. Gua dah keringet dingin aja tuh, takut bgt ngomong di depan umum. Walaupun di tiap kelas gua masi gugup, at least gua bisa ngomong hehe... Trus coordinate helper ama driver, kalo pagi2 hectic bgt... nyari2in supir... telp2in helpers, seru bgt sih, adrenaline rush gt kalo pagi2 haha... tapi gua enjoy time study sih, walaupun seperti yg gua bilang di atas, udah bosen skrg hehe... Yang gua senengin dari kerjaan ini tuh gua bisa ketemu orang baru tiap hari... Supir2nya mostly baek2 banget... ada sih yg jutek tapi gua maklumin la soalnya apa yg gua lakuin ini kan menentukan gaji mrk gitu... Gua belajar banyak dari supir2, bukan tentang kerjaan tapi tentang life. Dengerin cerita2 mrk, pengalaman mereka, kehidupan mrk. I'm gonna miss that sih... Trus gua bisa travel ke kota2 yg gua ga bakal pegiin kalo bukan karena time study. Ngeliat rumah2 yg bagus, view yg magnificent, wild animals... Gua seneng bgt bisa ngeliat view tempat2 di washington state which make me even more in love with this state. I've seen a lot of houses with ocean view and I want one of those.... someday.... ^ ^

And sekarang, back to school lagi deee... I'm so excited though... Gonna be in the same college as my baby bro hehe... should be interesting...

World Cup Frenzy

I watched the world cup opening game between Germany and Costa Rica. It was a great game and I realized how much I miss watching soccer matches. Soccer is not that big in the states so I haven't been following the latest soccer news. It's weird how a lot of american kids play soccer but the sport itself is not popular professionally. I wonder why... So.. yeah... back to how I miss watching soccer hhehe... This morning I woke up at 7 am and watch the second half of england vs paraguay. When I caught a glimpse of david beckham, I was soooo excited. He is still oh so cute but when he talks he's not that cute. He has that cempreng voice, as indos would say. I hope England will continue to the second round. Although they're not that super, I still support them with all my heart just because beckham is there hehehe...

Today is UW commencement day for class of 2006. I can't believe it's been a year since I graduated. It feels just like yesterday we're all sitting in the stadium under the pouring rain. It was very annoying at that time but come to think of it, the raining commencement day was Seattle's way of reminding us graduates to never ever forget this beautiful city. Yeah sure Seattle rains a lot but the rain doesnt make this city ugly, it only makes it more memorable. Congrats class of 2006.
