I have been reading the Bible everyday (well... Almost every day) for the past month. It all started because i was under a lot of stress and pressure from work. I was anxious, restless, complete emotional trainwreck and had no idea how to channel all my frustrations. My parents is my boss, so i cannot really whine to them about work, what i went through is nothing compared what they've been through. My friends are super busy as well and I know they've got enough problems on their plate and I dont want to cloud their minds even more. So that left me with my boyfriend, Adam, poor guy had to listen to my constant whining every day, thank God he's a sweetheart, but I felt a negative aura was surrounding me and I dont like the way I was behaving.
Suddenly, one morning after I took a shower, I felt the urge to look for Bible apps on my phone. I downloaded two apps, one in English and one in Indonesian. Believe it or not, right after I read some verses I can feel I was at ease. So I read the Bible again the next day and the day after and it's in my morning ritual now. Though I still need to go to church regularly on Sunday. I have decided to convert to Catholic and usually their service is quite early in the morning and we have successfully failed to go (need to work on this). Reading the bible everyday is no replacement to going to church on Sunday.
I once read that if you do that one thing for 21 consecutive days, it will become a habit. Here's hoping I could keep reading the Bible regularly and start going to the church!
